What you're noticing
Smell gas? Stop reading.
Leave the house now. From outside, call your gas utility or 911. Don't flip switches or light anything on the way out. Once the utility says it's safe, call us for the repair.
Other reasons people call us about gas:
- A new stove, dryer, water heater or furnace that needs a line
- An old line that needs repair or replacing
- A second opinion on gas work someone else did
How we find the cause
A buildup of natural gas can make people sick, and in the worst cases cause a fire or an explosion. So we check the whole run: the fittings, the valves and the appliance connection. We also confirm the appliance actually matches the fuel coming into the house. That last check sounds obvious. One of our customers found out the hard way that a previous contractor had used an unlicensed plumber who put a propane water heater on her natural gas line.
What we do about it
We repair, install and maintain gas lines for homes and businesses. You get a written price first, then the work, then a leak test before we leave. If the job reveals something unsafe that wasn't visible at the start, we'll stop, show you, and give you an amended written estimate.
Every gas lines call includes
- Work performed by a licensed master plumber
- Leak test on the finished work
- Appliance and fuel-type check
- Written flat-rate price before any work starts
- Charged by the job, never by the hour, and no travel-time charge
- Tarps down and shoe covers on inside your home
- Uniformed, drug-tested, licensed and insured crew
- Clean-up: we leave it as clean as we found it, or cleaner
- One-year warranty on parts and labor we supply
These guys literally saved me and my son from possibly blowing up with my house bc a former contractor used an unlicensed plumber to install a water heater. It was a propane water heater they installed for my natural gas line. …
Gas Lines FAQ
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the house right away and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. Don't use switches or anything that could spark. After the utility clears it, call us for the repair.
Can you run a line for a new appliance?
Yes. We handle gas line installations as well as repairs and maintenance.
Who does the gas work?
Our licensed master plumber. Gas is not a job we hand to anyone unlicensed, and it's not one you should either.
Something leaking right now?
Call. A licensed master plumber picks up, day or night, weekends and holidays. You get a written flat-rate price before we touch anything.
